The most luminous star in the sky, Sirius, is one that is hard to miss and once it catches your eye it’s hard to take your eyes off of, especially in the month of February. It is part of the Canis Major the Greater Dog constellation and is sometimes also referred to as the Dog Star. In Greek, the word Sirius means “glowing” which is a very suiting description for this star, which is a well known majestic, icey blue hues that often also flickers in many colors.
